The Local AI Visibility Index
When a customer asks an AI assistant for the best local business, only a few names come back. This index measures which ones, per metro and per trade, from real questions put to real AI assistants. We publish a cell only when it clears our sample floor. Everything else says “measuring” until it does.

How the index is measured
For each metro-by-trade cell we run customer-style recommendation prompts through every web-grounded AI engine, on a repeating cadence, with no business of our own in the prompt. We tally which businesses the engines name, how densely they name anyone at all, and which sources they cite. A business only earns a published position after AI names it in more than one answer. A cell only publishes after it clears our sample floor. We never invent a ranking or a number.
